History: Church Loan Specialist, Inc. became a Division of The Center for Institutional Finance to carry on its decade-long track record of meeting the special needs of churches and not-for-profit organizations. The principals of Financial Technologies, LLC joined The Center for Institutional Finance, bringing their long history of higher education finance and retirement system management for churches, colleges, not-for-profit organizations, governmental agency, and project development finance.
Founding Principals: The founding principal of The Center for Institutional Finance is Charles H. Devers, President and CEO.
Mr. Devers began his career managing the capital finance programs for the Illinois Office of the Governor. He was a founding principal of the Public Finance Department of A. G. Edwards & Sons, which is today part of Wells Fargo. He joined Bank of America, where he won its International LEND Award for completing the bank's most creative public finance project. He subsequently founded Financial Technologies, LLC which completed the restructuring of the retirement programs in one of the nation's largest denominational churches as well as financing its institutions of higher education.
